A Coutts Bank study revealed that 50% of People in the UK believe they will be a millionaire at one point in their life. However, only 425,000 people were millionaires (£1M or more net worth) in the UK at last count (about .7% or 1 per 145).
When you consider that an estimated, £2.6M is the actual net worth amount needed to live a “Millionaire Lifestyle” (5 Bed House, Overseas Holidays, Yacht, 2 Sports Cars, Personal Staff), there are some very strange perceptions out there.
Of the people who were “Self-Made” millionaires, one of the most common sources of wealth was Business Ownership.

BTW: The report also revealed, there are 44 Billionaires living in London, there are 24 British Citizens who are Billionaires and 1% of the UK’s top earners control 33% of the wealth in the economy.
